Jacob Sweet

Motocross has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started racing when I was six after watching a local club day and telling my parents, “I want to do that.” My first race was at Traralgon, and even though I was so nervous I almost backed out, I knew I had to be out there on the track. That feeling hasn’t changed.

Since then, I’ve worked hard to push myself in the sport, making my ProMX debut in 2020 during COVID and stepping up to the MX2 class in 2022. I’ve earned two State Titles, two Regional Championships, and had some of my best results competing in the Hattah Desert Race, finishing in the top three as a junior for five consecutive years and placing 12th overall as a senior in 2024. In 2022, I spent three months training in the U.S. at Milsaps, gaining experience and racing a few local events, where I was lucky enough to land some podium finishes.

Motocross isn’t my full-time career – I do it because I love it. Outside of racing, I’m an apprentice Mechanical Plumber, working hard to balance my trade with my training and time on the bike. When I’m not riding, you’ll find me out mountain biking, fishing, four-wheel driving, or camping with mates.

As I keep pushing myself in the sport, I’m always grateful for the support from family, friends, and the brands that help me do what I love. As a privateer, I fund my own racing and put everything I can into improving and competing at the highest level. I’m always on the lookout for new sponsors and partnerships to help take things to the next stage. If you’re a brand looking to support a passionate, hard-working rider, I’d love to connect.
